Mrs. Lana Katherine Fields, 65, a resident of Crawfordsville until a short time ago, died Saturday morning in a St. Louis, Mo., hospital while en route back here. Mrs. Fields was born April 21, 1897, in Guion. Her parents were Pleasant Green and Rosahanna Manley Clark. She was married to Onice Fields. She moved to Tombstone, Ariz., a few months ago but was returning to live in Crawfordsville. She was in the restaurant business in the city most of her life and was owner of the Home Lunch at one time. Survivors include five sons, Charles Leroy McDonald of Walton, Paul McDonald of Auburn, Wash., Daryl McDonald of Tombstone, Ariz., Harold Max of Lafayette and Franklin Ruffner; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Wharff and Mrs. Arnold Spore of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Nora Collins of Wallace; a half-brother, Jesse Phipps of Terre Haute; a half-sister, Mrs. James Hamilton of Crawfordsville; 26 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at the Bright Funeral Home with other arrangements to be made later.  -- typed by Walt W
